Lights & wipers

Featured Replies

My Octavia II Elegance has tunnel lights that sometimes come on in bright sunshine and auto wipers that give a wipe in the dry and also speed up after a few intermittent wipes. Two years old and the dealer still can't fix it - waiting for a new sensor which is on back order.

Anyone out there had these probs and how were they fixed?

i think you san turn down the senor sensitivity. But you need the dealer computer to do it

My rain sensing wipers go bananas for a few seconds if driving under trees in strong sunshine, must be the flickering sunlight confusing the sensor as it works by seeing infra red light reflected back off the water droplets from the light emitters in the sensor module.

The back ordered sensor module should put this little gremlin to bed.

Thought it was a feature myself.

My mate has a new Ford and his does the same bright sunshine and on come the lights..
