Hi all, can some one advise me on what the voltage reading should be on a fabia 1.9 sdi classic.

the Voltage setting on multimeter, then whats the reading for the battery without engine running and with engine running, just want to check my alternator before it goes to the auto leccy in the morning.....

The normal voltage for a car is 12v DC however it may be slightly over or slightly under this.

13.5v IIRC for a charging battery.

Cheers VRstu, its going to a local ( in bolton where i work ) auto leccy in the moring, just need to check it out.
