Octavia 2 Estate - Near Side Rear Tyre Wear

Featured Replies

I have an Octavia 2 Estate 1.9 TDI and have discovered that the Rear Near Side tyre has worn unevenly. It has 4.5 mm on inside edge and 2mm on outside.

The other rear tyre has worn evently as have both the front tyres.

I looked at this site last night and found various comments about tyre wear, but not for this particular problem and this model. I contacted my dealer and they suggested that I have a 4 wheel allignment check done at a local tyre centre.

Has anyone else had this problem and what was the cure.

Is a full 4 wheel allignment check necessary, when only one wheel is effected ?

Can the rear wheel camber on an Octy 2 be adjusted ?

Oddly, the wheels on my car that appear to get most brake dust are my osf and nsr. I'll have to go out for a proper hard-braking run to see if the car pulls in any strange ways.

I'll also check my tyres at the weekend (i.e. when it's light)
