Any toyota parts places/people

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can get a rear bumper for a year 2005 Toyota Yaris in T spirit trim.

Somebody nudged the back of a friends car, then drove off and has cracked the rear bumper.

It might be repairable, but i want to find out costs before I start spending money on suitable glues or time on fibre glassing.

In terms of glueing, does anyone have any suggestions for modern bumpers as I haven't done one of these all in one jobs before.

most bodyshops now have plastic welding kits , these work AFAIK by melting the inside of the bumper and feeding in melted plastic rods , like a big hot glue gun

then obviously prep and painting will be required

Hi cheezemonkhai,

If someone has just "nudged" it as you say then fine, But

We had some one bump the back of out car last year, we were only doing about 5 MPH when a guy run in the back of us, we pulled to the side of the road and had a look, and no signs of any Damage, The wife was going to say it was fine and say no more of it till I opened the tailgate and noticed the boot all Crumpled, at that point the Police were called, and names and address exchanged.

The Body repairers told me it would be about

Got her to check that first thing and it's been up a body shop who said bumper and light holder in it are only damaged bits.

Think she was very lucky.
