Hi

01 fabia 1.4 mpi 5dr. 56K

its had its problems.

when i got it there was a knock from the front left wheel area, went through the NCT and it failed the test because the of the anti roll bar bushes, i said this to the dealer(not skoda but Cheverlot) i got the car from, they replaced the bushes, this was about six weeks ago, a week later i was geting the car sorted to go back for the retest (NCT) and i was getting four new tyers, the guy doing the tyers showed me that the front left wheel (the one the noise was from before) would move forward and back about half inch, he said it was the arm bushes need to be renewed. and there is a bit off noise again, also now there is a knock from the rear right, usually on rough road or speed bumps.

is the arm he is talking about the part the bottom of the shock sits on and is this easy to do on the fabia can it be done easy enough, any idea on price.

the noise from the back, could it be the rear anti roll bar bushes.

was thinking of putting on the vrs bar front and back, i know this will make a difference but is it noticable by doing front and back.

nearly for got, the drivers controlls on the door did not work, replaced switches, everything now works except, window will not go up. tryed turing on ign and holding buttons etc. wont go up.

would prefer to do the work myself, did all work on my 95 Astra which i wishing i could have back !! it was the biz ( it tryed to drive on its roof and the tryed to swim !):D

 Thanks for the great info on the rear door leak fixed that problem. and few others,

i want to hear the music not the rattle:(

the rear anti roll bar doesn't have bushes because it's welded into the rear axle beam..

i expec the front bush that is gone will be the console bush, they are easy enough the change if you have the right tool
