Holding revs at 10k but judders..?

Featured Replies

Hi all, just another thing i wanna ask, i have noticed that when driving and try and hold the revs at 10-11k in 1st gear it starts to judder, if i put clutch in and let of gas pedal it judders still abut then stops.......driving as normal is fine, no probs......i have noticed it before but not taken much notice......no faults came up and it was serviced ( all filters and oil changed around 4-5000 miles ago ) now i did try the same procedure in second gear around 20-22k and did the same but not as bad.

Any ideas..........

Now i bet you all think i am paranoid with all the questions about my fabia 2001 1.9sdi but its mainly just minor stuff ( I THINK )haha

If your driving at 11,000 RPM I'm surprised it hasn't blown up yet!

I was just about to say that too....... The new Furby Type R

Cheers

Dave.

uuueerrr, sorry.

yeh meant 1000-1100 revs.

oh and i am just i the process of checking the connections out and found............that the blue wire near the gear box , well 1 single strand holding it on, just gonna bypass the connector because the wires have broken right in the connector..........checked the alternator connection and the nut that holds the thick black wire on for charge wasnt tight, just cleaned it and refitted and greased up.

so found 2 miner things so far.....still looking...

Sounds like the DFM wire from the alternator to the engine ECU, common charging issues with that one.

well checked all under bonnet now all seems ok.

gonna check rear of car wiring loom to front for any kinks or bad connections, if this as all ok then can only put it down to the pod being naff.

got it booked in at dm keiths wednesday morning to get a check over on codes.

if nowt untoward then will have to get that replacement pod.

thing is yesterday on me way home it did stop beeping and flashing about 4 times for a period of about 30 seconds..........strange, summat intermitent.

now with the ignition off, i turn the lights on to side lights position and the indicators/<1> flash steadily, put the ignition on and they speed up to flashing really fast.....seems like the ignition is feeding the error.........will check ignition wires tomorrow, had enough today, start investigations again in the morning....
