wheel noise

Featured Replies

 Hi everyone.just joined the site today and i must say its very informative.Ive just gone out and bought my first skoda(althought my wife has a felicia). Its a w reg 1.9 diesel felicia pickup and i bought it from up north. As i was driving it home last night in all that lovely snow it started to make a noise as i got above 30mph.The steering wheel doesnt wobble but the noise was getting worse as time went on.I finally got home after 4 hours and 3 stops at service stations.Im hoping its just a wheel bearing or could it be worse??Would wheel balancing be the problem?Any help would be much appreciated!

ps ive tried turning the steering on full lock and driving in circles and that all seems ok with no noise or knocks!

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me.
