Options Question

Featured Replies

Hi all,

[First post! :) ]

I am finally looking at getting a new car and have been looking at an Octavia; probably 1.6 (don't think I need anything bigger!), Elegance spec. While that seems to pretty much cover everything for options (and its got that handy MP3 player socket!) I was wondering whether people thought the ESP/Active Headrests options were worth getting for the extra ~425?

Any other options worth considering?

Cheers

Nick

Hi there, WELCOME to Briskoda.

ESP/Active headrest are good safety options designed to get you out of trouble; wet roads skidding etc. You might not want it day to day, but the one occaision that you need it and haven't got, it you might be heading for an accident of one type or another.

I guess it depends on you priorities in life. Who else might be driving? Who might be your passengers, kids?

If you do a lot of night driving the Xenon headlights are invaluable and if you like 'sporty' driving the Pegasus alloys with sport suspension at £700 are quite a good price.

After that - listen to what other briskodians have to suggest and good luck.

ESP is an absolute must imo. It saved my life when I had my Fabia estate and I will never be without it now.

I went for the multi function steering wheel too which includes the Maxi Dot display and sets it off nicely.
