Just had the missus 2001 Fabia 1.4MPI back from the local dealer for 50K service & MOT. Overall, charges seem reasonable:

Believe it or not that is a discounted price for the MOT, the official price is closer to £54 and is not subject to VAT.

Totally obscene price imho!

i think that if you take time to ring round for parts, you could get them cheaper cos all garages use certain suppliers.

If i need owt i ring Andrew Pages first to check the price for parts, then ask garage how much, then you get an idea of fitting cost ?

It's down to the discretion of the MOT test station how much they charge, but it can be no more than that outlined on the VOSA (?) pages. I paid a similar amount for mine at a local MOT test station
