coolant loss

Featured Replies

A few weeks ago I was greeted with a flashing coolant light on the dash, when I investigated the level was on min so I topped it up to max with water.

Today I got the light back and once again it is on min :thumbdwn:

The car is running great and not overheating, my thoughts are that it may be a leak somewhere but has anyone got any advice/suggestions

thankyou

Craig

Engine?

Have a look around the rad fan switch (bottom right of the rad as you look at it) Skoda dont put a seal on them from factory and they leak. Cheap fix, new seal and coolant.

sorry.... vrs:)

thanks for that, warranty?

Yeah if its warranty get it booked in.

Try checking the bottom hose to the rad (bottom right as you look at the car) the clip that holds it away from the front cross member broke on mine a few weeks ago, so the hose was rubbing on the cross member and split, i.e. loss of coolant

Hope this helps and hope you get it fixed.
