Skoda Octavia A4

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was thinking about buying a Skoda Octavia A4, we have here in Egypt A4 and A5 and am unable to get any information about the A4 on the web. The A4 has the same looks as the octavia which was sold 7 years ago. Does anybody know this model ?

A4 is the factory name for the Mk1 Octavia (1998-2006)

A5 is the factory name for the Mk2 Octavia (2005---)

Same code is used for all similar VAG cars on that platform.

Here the car goes with the name A5 SP and they have submodels like elegance, etc ..

Do you mean that the A4 is not manufactured after 2006 ?. Do you know where I can get the specs. of the A4 ?

Same code is used for all similar VAG cars on that platform.
what do you mean ?

We have sub models aswell.

A4 and A5 are factory terms so you know what MK of Octavia etc your talking about.

So do you know where I can get the specifications of the A4 ?

Are there big differences in the engine between the A4 and A5 ? because there is a big difference in price

There will be a difference in price as its a completely new model of car.

Thanks for the help, here the A4 is still sold alongside the A5. The dealership hasn't a lot of info about the differences

They are sometimes also reffered to by the Chassis code 1U for the A4 platform and 1Z for the A5 platform. It can be seen in the chassis number.

Info on A5 1Z cars here - koda UK - The New Octavia

There may be differences in standard equipment between different markets? But if you post the model, engine (eg TDi 110) and trim spec (eg Elegance) you're looking at, I'm sure someone will be able to list the UK market trim for the model
