Petrol mk2 vRS, when did your 1st service become due?

Featured Replies

I've done a search and saw Makefish's came at around 13000miles.

Mine is due at 17000miles, quite chuffed really as I think I don't drive like a granny, although I do cover a lot of motorway miles.

What mileage has your petrol vRS service come due at?

Dan

Mine was due for around 14500 miles but I had it done earlier. My journey to work can be none stop or a total crawl. I guess that gets reflected in the service.

I was going to change to fixed intervals buy they use the synthetic longlife oil anyway so for the cost of a pollen filter I stayed on variable.

I changed the oil in mine at 3000 miles. Every 6000 is the plan, ignoring the variable servicing. DIY using genuine filters.

Seems an odd choice.

Mine came up at 11k.

That's what I'm also going to do.

1st change at 3000km

2nd change at 10000km

and change every 10000km from then on.

Oil is the car's lifeline. I always did my cars every 5-6000 miles. I dont agree with this longlife crack on performance cars.

Hi

Mine is on variable servicing.

I dont intend to keep the car for more than 2 years - so I dont see the point in changing the oil early.

I will simply stick to the manufacturers service schedules and rely on the warranty - if anything happens to the engine before 60K miles/3 years!

Cheers!

Steve

My variable service comes up in 500 miles at 15500m. Seems OK to me. Car was reg'd in June last year.
