Is your Octavia Petrol??

So far all I have had is a problem with the glow plug relay which was replaced in about half an hour ( although the dealer was a bit awkward about looking at it without a proper appointment:thumbdwn: )

Car is almost run so it will be interesting to see how well it goes when you are trying:cool:

I think the Glow plug relay is a common issue which has been addressed by a TSB.

The cause of this fault is due to the glow plug control unit – J179 (located under the e-box) not working correctly. This only affects glow plug control units that are manufactured by “WLO”

Do you use Sparshatts?

Yes mine is Petrol.

Yes Sparshatts were the supplying dealer..they replaced the relay with a Bosch one which is apparently the fix for the relay....it didnt take long once they agreed to have a look...

Yes the glow plug relay seems to have been down to a faulty batch, well thats the story i was given. I've recently purchased an Octavia vRS TDi and it was replaced prior to me collecting the car. Mine has 10 000 miles on the clock and it goes well, very well, I love it!

Nah..silver...wife said I am too old for race blue..and anyway it seems like blue is the only colour anyone else is choosing..and I like to be a bit different.....

Wont be ablt to do this weekend but I shall look at some future dates and see if I can come along:cool:
