Hello - looking into Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Hi,

Wasn't sure which forum area to look in for info about the Fabia vRS and aftermarket tuning advice.

I'm looking for a nippy runabout for my wife, to take the kids to school, rather than her current Legacy Outback 3.0.

I've already got an old shape 5dr impreza that's been modded a bit after the warranty ran out, and I was obviously interested in the off the shelf remaps sold by Jabbasport, etc.

The search engine also tells me I don't have rights to search anything...

Any ideas ?

don't know why you can't search, but the fabia section is the one you want.. remaps claim anything from 160bhp to 190 bhp depending on who you choose, (jabba is well respected as a good map though) you will also notice a nice improvent in runnning cost compaired to a 3.0 lagacy, how does 50mpg sound? :)

You can only search once every 20 seconds - that might be the cause of the problem you experienced.

But feel free to post again if you still can't get it to work - we are usually a helpful bunch and I'm sure someone will sort your problem!

I read your thinking of buying a fabia vrs. You definately won't be dissapointed. I used to have the 100 bhp 1.9 TDi fabia and i loved it. My brother bought a vRS and it was awesome. And yes 50 mpg is easily done. Plus from what i've heard it is not necessary to upgrade drive shafts , etc, when the engine power is increased. Real bargain perfomance. I would have had one, but as I play golf and there is the otential for a family in the near future an octavia vrs was the way forward.

Realistically, does your wife need a remapped vRS ?

Bung some Millers Diesel Sport 4 in the tank and enjoy approx another 10 BHP without clutch-life, increased insurance, warranty invalidation worries.

Save the dosh for something else - house extension, holiday, pension, congestion charges, whatever.............

The car is plenty quick enough, especially for running the kids (and everything else, come to think).
