Had a new pollen filter fitted yesterday in Minster, East Kent, as part of service. This morning I noticed a couple of cracks low down on passenger side corner of windscreen.

Similar happened 4 years ago in Wandsworth but that time I noticed it as I was leaving the garage. I was expecting an argument but they replaced it under warranty. This time I've spoken to the garage owner who was a bit prickly and defensive on the phone and told me to bring it round.

I'm convinced it must have happend whilst they were fitting new filter and new drain conduit. Can anyone give me any knowledge that might be useful in inevitable discussion with him?

Obviously I want to try and get it sorted as soon as possible cos the longer the gap the weaker my case will be.

And, failing that, does anyone have any idea how much a new windscreen would cost?

but if you've got comprehensive insurance, you can normally get it done for just the xs on that (mine is £60)

Get them to pay the excess on your insurance.

If they didnt do it then it shoud be noted on the job card body report.
