skoda 1.9sdi

Featured Replies

hi 2 all just purchased my first skoda 1.9sdi classic getting older and need the economy can any of you guys/girls let me know what to expect/lookout for with this particular model regards steve

hello and welcome

is it a fabia or an octavia??

As Tom says. Personally I'd be hoping for better than 60mpg from an SDi, since I'd not see any point otherwise (had low 60s from an Octy Ambiante TDi90).

octavia sdi classic 60mpg souhds fantastic

Expect it to be slow, get cruise fitted, and watch the mpg go silly high

What do you need cruise for? My figure was without cruise, and despite spending over 2 hours in a traffic jam on the Thiefrow exits/M25 (caused by a dead bus).

Come on lads, I can get 64mpg out of my Octavia Estate TDI 110 on country roads plus some town. I get bored though! Dave

I can get 55mpg, and average a similar speed point to point, from mine.

My mpg went up by a average of about 7 mpg once i fitted cruise, makes motorways so much more relaxing too

Ive got a fabia SDI and I like it - feels relaxed rather than underpowered. Ive driven petrol ones and I dont like them nearly so much. I drive a Golf TDI sometimes but somehow I prefer the fabia.
