Two failed work units @ 84%!?

Featured Replies

 I don't believe it. My PC has failed to finish a "3038" work unit, and stopped at the same point on each. Copies of the logs below. Why the f*** has it done this!? Not happy! :grumpy: It's now doing a 2124 WU, so all being well that one won't go wrong, but it's annoying not crediting any points for the team in 6 days. I get nothing for both of these 84% complete units. :(

had a similar problem with a 3038 on one of my pcs..... hence my score falling off somewhat last week.

In the end, I stopped folding, deleted the config file and set it off again on that pc. Touch wood, it's been ok since.....

I agree tho, VERY frustrating

Having trouble with 3038 to, my PC failed on one this morning. I got 4 points for it, then it picked up a 2124, ohh dear.

Jason, did you pick up another one.

Here is a quote from the folding forum, it would seem they are expecting a few failed WUs'

We track EUE's here, so no need to report them. Since people have been bringing this up lately (and because recent projects that have gone on are more likely to EUE than in the past), we have been doing a pretty extensive analysis of the EUE's. In general, WU's that EUE on machines are typically completed by another machine when it gets assigned, so it suggests that it could be something to do with the machine, although I also suspect that there are a few WU's that are just EUE prone.

We're gathering the statistics and will add some more checks to help us do the statistics to better understand what's going on here.

  • 1 month later...

In the last 24 hours I've had three WU's fail on my mac mini :(

p3042 p3041 p3040 All with different errors.

Any one else had anything similar recently?
