Wind Nooise from rear offside passenger doors

Featured Replies

After purchasing my new Octavia I had about six months of "hassle" trying to rectify what I considered to be excessive wind noise coming from the rear passenger door areas.

Originally put down by the dealer to a poorly fitted quater light/ seal this was replaced to no avail.

Finally managed to get the maintenance superviser in the back of the car for a quick burst down the motor way to prove the point.

Successfully identified the fault to be the door not closing properly. Basic adjustment of the hanging of the door by moving the hinge plates solved the problem.

Thank you (eventually) D M Keith, Bradford. Persistance pays off when you know your right!

we have exactly the same problem with our 56 VRS , i can see no problem with the rubbers and the noise seesm to come from the rear of the offseide rear door . I'll try the adjustment prior to contacting the dealer , we are going on holiday with the car on Friday
