right i have heard and read a lot about smoothing you air box out and fitting a filter but what do you actually smooth out in the air box, has anyone got any pics so i will know exactly what to remove and how

I did mine on my previous octy. You take out the plastic 'fins' underneath the panel filter and make it generally smooth inside. Don't think I've got any pictures of it though.

Yeah, its an easy mod and if you add a green panel filter, it will sound slighty better too (performance may increase, but tbh it will be neglectable).

I'd consider adding an air feed from the front bumper as well... this can be plumbed into the side of the air box under the level of the filter. The standard intake is really poor.

did you use and exsisting hole for this or did you cut one out?
