215/45 R16 tyres on VRS

Featured Replies

Can you put 215/45 R16 tyres on the standard Fabia VRS 16" wheels. Any issues with this size of tyre?

Jules

You can put 215/40 R17 instead of 205/40 R17 on the Fabia so I imagine the same applies here. It will just be 5% wider, and a very marginal increase in sidewall height. :)

Yes but the 17" alloy will be wider than the standard 16".

I think personally that 215 is too wide for the standard rim and you may find the tyre will 'pinch'.

I had 215/40/16's on my previous vRS and they were fine.

Gone down one profile, yes?

There you go, tried and tested.

Yes, not only was the rr nearly the same, but they looked just a little better, and were cheaper than 205/45/16's. for some reason.

I also have 215/40/16's on mine..... but my tyre place always seem to struggle to get them on the rim! (drives perfect though) I believe the standard fabia alloy is only really wide enough for 205's, but then the RR is near as damn it the same, and loads of people on here run that size without problems :)
