2006 vrs 2.0litre. Remapping

Featured Replies

I have the new 2.0 litre vrs and am considering remapping. My skoda dealer is a registered REVO site. I have been reading some of the REVO threads relating to the 1.8 vrs mainly based on the 5 hour trial. Does anyone know of the 2.0litre vrs with the REVO remap? My dealer claims performance in the region of 270BHP with REVO. All comments appreciated.

There are plenty of threads in this section relating to remaps for the 2.0T FSI which warrants a search but it is definately worth doing even though an increase of 70bhp is no where near achievable, more like 35-45bhp!.

Hold on. 'My skoda dealer is a registered REVO site' .... I don't get it?

The skoda dealer in question recommends REVO as the choice of mapping software, and as such they do the work, hence the aformentioned phrase.

Some REVO dealers are better than others and I can only speak from local experience that JKM on the south coast are one of the better ones.

I've spoken to the nearest REVO expert but I have a more local Superchips agent. Anyone any comments about the latter?

Which dealer is this? and how does it affect the warrenty?

I'm sure when a bill comes in for a (for instance) turbo failure, they'll want to know why. Minute a remap is found, I doubt they'd be easy to go through with the work. Just my thought, but I'm pretty confident they wouldn't fork out.

IIRC superchips used to cover bits that were not covered on your manufacturer warrenty under their own warrenty, but obviously I would check if that is still the case and if it is what limits are placed on it.
