DNX replacements air filters

Featured Replies

Does anybody use or have used dnx panel replacement filters?

Could it be any good for octy?

I am trying to find the most appropriate one for my octy 1.8t and i just took notice that this is the one that doesn't use any oil (unlike k&n, pipercross, cotton...)

here are some links

DNX Skoda Octavia 1.8 T 35643- 148BHP Rectangular Panel Air filter (5541007)

I have got one in mine. Seems ok...wouldn't like to say whether it made a difference but then I have never been able to tell with panel filters on any car imo. I have cleaned it once and I must say it was a lot easier than the pipercross's and k&n's I have used in the past. They get my recommendation anyway :)

cheers for very quick reply.

i don't expect any significant performance improvement, but just want to put something better than usual paper filter in my car. it's quite cheap as well around 30 quid and dnx says that it doesn't need any oil .

i heard from many golf gti 1.8t owners about maf sensor problems with k&n panels probably due to it's cleaning oil.

that's why i was thinking about this one. i'll buy it

it says its for the 1.8t 148 bhp, is this still the correct filter for the 1.8t 180 bhp ?

Yeah...its the same filter. I think the diesel is the same as well tbh.

I installed it with no probs. Seams to be working fine. I didn't notice any power boost but the engine runs smoother as the old oem filter was really dirty.

It's totaly dry and it can be washed with water and mild soap according to the manual.

It has my recommendation.
