Vag-com needed please

Featured Replies

Hi all

My very first post here so be gentle with me ;)

I wonder if anyone is fairly close to me (Guildford surrey area) with a vag-com that can help me with my 2000 octavia 1.9 TDI engine code AGR to get any error codes that may be showing, the car is as standard no extras remaps etc

The problem is the usual limp mode and following other advice here ive changed the MAF and checked all the vacuum pipes and hoses for signs of wear / leakage but cant find anything

I can drive around town all day long with no loss of turbo but it does seem a little flat after the initial turbo boost and if i lift off the accelerator a couple of times like two quick pumps it picks up a bit but as soon as i do any dual carraigeway or motorway driving in fourth or fifth at 70 - 80 limp mode kicks in quite quickly and it seems to be getting more frequent

I dont mind driving a fair way if theres no one close and i would really appreciate any help given

Cheers

Bill.

There is a thread entitled vag-com map or similar, see if there is someone local listed.

If you are ever along the M27 then look me up and I can help.

Hi Stu

Thanks for that info but as coincidence would have it i was pointed in your direction earlier after i had pm`ed

scoobychris to see if he still had all the neccessary and was not too far from me

If you really dont mind giving me some of your time and knowledge i would be most gratefull, im only about an hour-ish away from you and could

have a drive down anytime that suits you and hopefuly i could finally get to the bottom of this really niggling problem

cheers

Bill.

Weekends are better. Busy this Saturday but Sunday maybe an option.
