at the risk of sounding a bit rude.... :sofahide:

why would you ask that question?? if you cant work out how to get it off should you really be fiddling about underneath it??

Quite sensible Question really, no i'm not gonna tamper, don't worry, just need to get to my dump valve! i'm quite heavy handed and unless i know how to i'll probably end up breaking something!

the dump valve is easyer to get to underneith is it the forge blow off valve took me about 5 mins

To remove the engine cover does take a bit of brute force. First remove the turbo inlet pipe at the top of the engine cover by first releasing the two metal clips, then release the spring clip that holds the intake flex in place and remove. The engine cover is now free to remove but this is where the brute force bit comes in!!. Pull hard from the back first and then the front and after a bit of perserverance it will come off. The cover is held on by four rubber gromets which may have become detached and remained on the engine studs, these will need to be removed and inserted back into the engine cover. To make life easier in future, spray some silicon spray onto the rubber before replacing.

You are now free to fiddle with your engine to your hearts content ;)
