TT6 on WM5 Smartphone

Featured Replies

Just got TT6 running on my Orange SPV M700. Very pleased with it. A decidedly different process to getting it running on my old Palm Zire but working nonetheless.

Communication with the internal GPS is spot on and uses slightly less battery than initially setting it up on bluetooth but definitely need the old car charger with me all the time it's running!

Reason for the post is there's a lot of people struggling to get it working on this phone so if anyone needs a hand give me a shout

got it working (albeit sans GPS) on my M3100 :)

I used to run it on an XDA Mini S, but now run it on a Nokia N73 (S60).

Good stuff :)

Mr Josh...

How do you compare the S60 version to the XDA mini? - im considering the same transition myself saying my lovley employers have taken my XDA off me

Infact how do you find the N73 vs the XDA in general?

Is it worth changing from TT5 to TT6 ?

I have been using TT5 for 2 years now, is there much different apart from the updated map ? Currently running it on a M3100.

The new maps are more complete mluton...

And Col... It takes a bit of getting used to, but I've had no problems with TT on the N73... Obviously the screen is smaller, but IIRC, it has similar resolution. You can only run it in portrait mode, which was a change for me too.

The N73 in general is a great phone. It crashes far less than my XDA Mini S did, (it reboots maybe once a week). I've got it on Three, and despite my terrible experiences with them when they launched, they actually seem to be really switched on and I've not had to wait more than 5 rings for their (good) offshore customer services to answer.

I also get 1gb a month data bandwidth, MSN Messenger, Skype, Podcasts etc on the phone... It's cool as a cucumber and only an extra £5 a month!

TT5 vs TT6 there's not really any more functionality (that you'll use anyway!), but the maps are obviously more up to date. That's it really.

Edit: Josh, the Nokia is a Symbian right? How did you find the setup process?

Piece of cake!
