vRS Air Con problem

Featured Replies

Had my vRS now for around 4 weeks and very impressed with it.

Today I pressed the a/c button to test the air con before the hot summer weather (fingers crossed) gets here, and there was no change in the air temp coming out of the blower.

I thought maybe the refrigerant gas was low, now I already had a can and a 1/2 of the gas so I started the car, plugged in the adpater on the can of gas to the system and it was reading that the pressure was fine:confused: . I tried adding gas and the pressure wasnt affected much if at all. Went back into the car and still no cold air  .

There is pressure in the system so there cant be any leaks but why am I not getting any cold air? Help???????????

It's usually the evap temp sensor that goes I think. Quite common apparently.

Means the A/C just doesn't do anything when you turn it on.

Get it scanned for fault codes. Similar symptoms to mine and it was the evaporator temp sensor..... :D

What was the outside temperature? Was it early this morning? The AC compressor will not run if the outside temp is lower than 5 degrees C , to stop the unit freezing up , i think.
