Paint and Upholstery Protection

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm awaiting delivery for new Fabia vrs and have started thinking about whether to get upholstery and paint protection on it. The dealer recommends Surelook, I am unsure if this is a general Skoda service or something particular to this dealer.

Any views/opinions on whether it is worthwhile from other owners or if there are any protection products that are to be recommended ? The white seats look like they could mark up quite easily . . .

Thanks

Dealers all recomend different products & tend to make a fair bit on it so shop around. Is it worth doing, IMO yes it is.

We had both our cars done with the Swissol treatment, if you want a quote for that contact Mark Underwood on either : [email protected] or

Some members have tried and recommend the use of the Simoniz Teflon upholstery and carpet care kit (See here). For the cost of the dealer-arranged paint protection, you could buy some really upmarket car polish, cleaner and treatments sufficient to keep your car looking good for years. Stuart has mentioned one such product which I would definitely opt for rather than a paint protection finish which will inevitably deteriorate with time.

Don't bother with expensive dealer-supplied paint & upholstery protection, it's a complete rip-off.

For the interior, as Denis said, use Simoniz Teflon.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give the Simoniz a go and have a look into some exterior finishes including Swissol.

Great site btw - loads of useful info.

Welcome to Briskoda, by the way ;)
