Furbies new audio system....

Featured Replies

Well, ive ripped out all me audio equipment and started angin. Really wasnt happy with the sound.

This time i went perhaps a little to far, but hey, i dont really care.

Started by ripping out the Alpine IVA-D310R/RB unit i had and replaced it with another Alpine head (DVA-9965R). That was the easy bit.....

Then went onto the front speakers. Replaced all of the clips in the door (eliminate as much rattle as poss) and took out the JL Audio component speakers and went to me local audi specialist (happens to be a friend) to discus ideas. Eventually went for some DLS Ultimate 3 way fronts and decided to cut the plastic out of the door panel and make a surround and place the mid and tweeter in the pillars.

I have to say that this started to get well out of my ability and i had to rely on assistence from the audio guy at this stage (fibre glassing mounts and stuff). What they did was trully top quality and the sound really rocks. I get no distortion even when the sterio is up full ( not as though i listern to the sterio this lound but the depth is something else.

Anyhow, no good without piccies so.... (Sorry about quality)

Also got 2 5" subs under the glove box that is impossible to photograph

yes the amps are focal, was going to get genesis amps but the noise that the car makes whilst driving means that the extra expense isnt worth it.
