4x4 braking problem

Featured Replies

Well, as posted before am having some problems with my octavia. The esp warning light comes on randomly and wont currently go out. This seems to be affecting the abs and esp function of the car. We think its something to do with the haldex ecu.

Well now i have an additional maybe related maybe not problem so wanted your opinions. When i put the car on full lock (say driving off my drive slowly onto the road to the right) it feels like there is may be some resistance like something is almost slowing the car (this is only minor though) the worst symptom is when i touch the brake when turning off the drive, its almost like the abs cuts in on the driverside wheel and makes the front wheel 'clunk' and visibly 'move' on braking like the abs has over engaged. Its almost like the abs is working too much?!?! Anyone had anything like this or is my car just well random?

First port of call would be to get the fault codes checked.
