Bulk head gromit

Featured Replies

From what I understand, there is a hole in the bulkhead that has been filled with a gromit, for the DBW cars, that was used for the non-DBW cars.

Now does this whole still exist on an 03 vRS Octy and if so where the hell is it? Because I can't find it. I'd like to run my boost gauge hose through it.

Otherwise, does anyone know of an alternative whole in the bulkhead I can piggy back on the drivers side ?

Cheers

When I collected my vRS there was a cable which had been used for a radar detector, it ran from the engine bay into the area under the scuttle panel. If you remove the scuttle panel you will see a plastic cover under it on the drivers side. If you remove this (two 10mm nuts I think) there are a few fuses and it's possible to feed a cable down there into the cabin area under the dash. If you use this location you will need to make a little hole in the black plastic panel which covers the fuses to feed the cable through, make sure you seal any hole with silicone or a tight grommet to make sure water can't get in.

There is also a grommet on the passenger side, also under the scuttle panel behind the pollen filter.
