I get to pick up my 03 Elegance 1.9 TDi Estate tomorrow. It'll be the first one I've earned.



I looked around for one that had not been round the planet twice and managed to find one with 32,000 miles.



I've been reading some of the forum threads, especially the ICE ones, and they make for interesting reading. It helped me to make my decision on what car to even go for. The other options were Seat Leon TDI and For Focus TDCI. I went for the versatility and practicality of the Skoda. The fact it was basically a VAG motor was a big factor too.



I've had my current car (Suzuki Swift GTi) for about two years now, and although the ride is unforgiving, space a bit cramped and has built in speaker locations that fire into your shins in the front (bizarre) I will miss it very much because it is a mental car to drive. For a car that size it don't half shift.



I don't know how I'm going to explain that I'm dumping her for a younger (and bigger) model.
