Ok , lots of speculation and lots of people who are sure they are right in the other thread about the next furby's choice of engines.

Here's a poll so we can all see who is wrong and who is right once it finally gets here.

Those who picked correctly can feel smug , those who were wrong can be laughed at.

Where's the poll?

Where's the poll?

I was still creating it , and in my haste forgot to make it multiple choice.

Mods , can you edit the poll to allow multiple answers and make the choices public please.

D'oh!

What's the point of this thread?

We have enough dickheads asking stupid questions without you joining in.

( not that you are a dickhead btw)

Leave the idiot questions for the idiots please

( and the mod. police )

We'll be leaving all the questioning and answering to you then?

nothing wrong with a poll!

I want to choose two! 2.0 TDI and 1.4 TSI (150 bhp)

To be honest, I can't really guess what they will put in next time round,

The Fact that the vRS was a diesel and a bit luke warm/mildly hot hatch was what has made it more well known, so It would seem common sense if they offered another diesel

I think also they may offer a petrol and a diesel like with the current OctyII vRS to cater to a broader market, because some people still don't like diesels.

I think it's also pretty fair to say that we might not get as many horses as The Polo and Ibitza hot models, since Skoda is a value/budget brand, and as VW try to climb the ladder to the executive market, this may be enforced more stringently.

To be honest, a 1.6 16v at just 105BHP surely cant be the best petrol it will ever get? Thing is Hyundai/Kia's new 1.4 puts out 109BHP, and 122BHP from a 1.6, and they are also "Budget brands".

I cant make those changes, only fiddle the numbers and add options.

2.0l tdi 140 derv and 2.0l fsi 150 petrol if offered

Bugger , not much point if we can't pick the two likely options , sorry.

I'd like to have a small wager that it'll be the 1.4 TSI 170bhp version, it would have to be to compete with the likes of other small hot hatches out there. I think Skoda may well drop the diesel option altogether imho.

I think it will be available both in petrol and diesel. Maybe the 2.0TDI (140bhp) diesel and the 2.0FSI (150) petrol...
