where to buy Porter Cable 7424

Featured Replies

Seen one @ this site: For your car

But is there anywhere else someone could possibly recomend(ie maybe cheaper). I do already have a 110V transformer, which i use with a Dewalt Demolition drill i bought a while back - will this be ok for the PC?

I take it the PC comes with a 110V plug(round) attatched to it?

Be grateful for anymore info on where to get a PC from.

My car really needs this treatment!!!

The only way to get it cheaper is to import one yourself. Have a look here although you may or may not get stung for import duty depending on how lucky you are.

Autopia in the States seem to be the best value.

If you join Detailing World and post on their someone can help you with a discount code and not paying import taxes.

It doesn't come with the 110v plug because it is sold for normal U.S. sockets.

Another vote for Autopia, then a quick trip to any electrical factor or Screwfix order for the plug (very easy to fit). Autopia's customer service is excellent, and mine arrived in a few days. Also got my pads from there (Sonus SFX, excellent pads!), and a free bottle of glaze. On the shipping invoice they put the value as $50 too, so there was no tax to pay, so way cheaper than getting in the UK.

Yup definately Autopia -- loads of people from detailing world have bought from them and few have been charged import duty.

There is a brilliant guide to importing a PC on detailingworld HERE

As has been said you can contact 182_blue on detailing world for the discount code

Yep, another vote for Autopia...

Make sure you enter the international code to get the discount (see Detailing World for more info :) ).

Mine arrived very quickly with no drama.

cheers guys - very informative as always ;)

will take a look at the link above - thX!!!

So what is the price anyway through Autopia, out of interest?

As above - combine Detailing World with Autopia to get the best deal :D

Of course, depends on the exchange rate at the time. Think I paid just over £100 for mine early last summer. Great service and arrived in rapid time too.

Happy buffing !

Oh now that is a good deal @ just over £100 ;) - i've already got a transformer so thats not needed, just the plug, and an extension cable.

Wardy - did that come with anything other than just the PC? Like backing plate or pads?

cheers

lee

I just got the plain PC from Autopia. Backing, counterweights and pads came from Polished Bliss.

The Sonus combo deals are pretty good on Autopia, no doubt - I just decided I'd use Country Lake ones.

Steve

I got some Sonus SFX pads with mine, 3 of each, Yellow, White and Blue and also ordered some 4" SFX pads.

Great service from Autopia via Detailing World
