absolutely...

i dont think its fair that someone with a 2 litre mondeo should pay the same as a bmw x5 (or close enough)

im not sure what the answer is here..... maybe do it by physical dimensions of car + age?

I think its very unfair, that I own a Fabia 1.9sdi that is 1 year older ,than when the Government ,brought this scheme in , I pay about £70 more in Road Tax , for the same vehicle with the same engine in!!.

It's not the same engine. You might as well compare a A series with an A series +, they are very different in many ways. One of which is the emmissions

Even worse that my car has its emmisions tested to make sure it conforms every year by MOT.

There is NO test on the MOT that analysis the exaust gas for a diesel car. It is simply a smoke density test that 20-30 year old engines could pass

not like a new car which could be wrongly adjusted from new for 3 years!!

See above comment. Your SDI will chuck out more NOx than a PD although it's not tested.

Please dont suggest I get a new car as I am not in a position to get some of a new car paid for me , by an Employer or the Tax Man!!.

I am not a Grumpy Person, I just like to see Fair Play!!

Life sucks sometimes doesn't it.
