However the car has no boot lid, smashed rear quarters and a dragging exhaust....go for it..

Only kidding Guv:thumbup:

Hmmmm - I'm also tempted to trade in my sensible diesel for a Cat D car that was flood damaged and repaired in 2002 but am not sure. Seller seems to be very open about the facts and it does look immaculate, MOT'd until Feb 2008 (and is a very tempting price). Anything to look out for when I go to view it or questions to ask?

Weve just had the Octy straightened after Wendy converted it into a cat D, also had a couple of Cat D cars before, no more or less problems than any other car of its age.

If it was flood damaged try & find out a bit more about the damage, it should not have been sea water as they are normally given cat A

I had a cat D Citroen that was flood damage & that was simply an engine full of water. Put a s/hand engine in it & it ran faultlessly for 4 years.

If it was fixed in 2002 all the gremlins should be sorted by now, just make sure its a bargain as you will run into the same misguided prejudice when you come to sell it, thats always assuming any buyer asks !!

If you rememver my old Scoob that was a cat C & somewhat bent when I bought it, apart from the traditional Scoob problems it ran perfectly OK
