A little fancy

Featured Replies

I'm kind of duplicating here, but what the hell.

I fancy a set of four chrome door handles, to replace the black ones on my car.... black isn't bad, it's just I think the silver of the chrome will match the silver of the car. I'm also after silver knobs to replace the black ones... (you know, the ones that go up when you open the car, and vice versa) But I've got these on order from my dealer.

soooo, the question is do these come from a special supplier such as MS design (who I cant see do them...) or is it simply using the handles the Elegance Fabia's come with. Piccies anyone of the elegance handles?, (flyingscot?)

Jason,

Awesome GTi have the chrome door pins, but if you've ordered them already then that's not much use to you... :D

As a simple alternative to buying silver door handles - how about spraying the existing door handles silver?

Rob.

Or wrap them in foil? :D

IMHO chrome handles would look :gay: however body coloured would look far better

well, in my case chrome is kind of body coloured, compared to black anyway... I was just wondering where to get the handles from (buttco do the chrome door pins for

this is going to end in chrome knob misery again :D

I'd imagine the ButtCo ones are the same ones as the dealer will get - you might be surprised by your dealer's prices though...

The door handles will just be basic door handles which have either been covered in chrome or paint, so you might as well do it yourself and save a few quid... :D

Rob.

or they could be stick on covers

I suspect the chrome probably is a stick on cover, but that might offend those who have them as it suggests their luxury vehicle is nothing more than an expensive and tasteless Max Power project... :D

Rob.

what could be next i wonder chrome mirror covers, chrome alloys, chrome antenne, chromed dashboard, chrome knob noooooooooo :D

How about a chrome strip along the lip of the boot lid? Well, it looks good on the Vectra... ;)

or a chrome five tiered whale tail look great on a Furbie?

Jason Elegance Fabias come with black handles which I prefer (the ones on my dad's Octy which are colour coded keep getting chipped by doors. Chrome especially polished stuff will get so many greasy fingermarks and scratch easily. Painted silver handles as on the Octavia might be good. Seen chrome ones, on milotec and they do look nice, just not sure how particle they'd be.

Forget chrome Jason - go for some nice under car neons - will make your furby easier to spot if you ever "go Australian" on us again... :D

The chrome covers from buttcos are actually stainless steel, unless you look closely you would not even know they were covers and stick on very tight.
