Yippeeee! Octavia Ordered

Featured Replies

Well, after 6 months of research, procrastinating, soul searching etc etc I have finally ordered an Octavia. Heart said "go for 2.0 T Vrs with all the options", head said "Now you know this car is for business use, racking up about 25,000 miles a year and you know how sports seats affect your shoulders (just remember the BMW 328i fiasco!), so a 2.0 TDI Elegance is the one to go for"..........Head won! The adavtange of this decision is that I also get to keep my BMW 320D for "personal" use.

So, car should arrive end of May so counting down the days (about 75 to go)......

I can't wait to see the reactions of many of my customers when I arrive at their sites in my shiny metallic grey Octavia  - most of them are BMW, Jaguar and Mercedes drivers

Still, back in the mid eighties I had two Estelles and will always remember driving past a secondary school at lunchtime to the embarassment of a dozen kids pointing my way shouting "SKODAAAAA" - I hope attitudes have changed somewhat since then:D

On a more serious note, the buying experience of the Skoda has been a real eye-opener. Considering I was a serious cash buyer, who knew the exact model, colour and options I was amazed at the apathy of most of the dealers I visited - several never rang me with prices as they promised to do and one "sales executive" simply showed me the prices from the brochure, then huddled with his manager for a few moments before shoving a calculator under my nose showing a price about

An RS for personal use - now there's an idea :P ;)

Both mu head and my heart said RS so i went for that, mine arrives hopefully begining of May  .

Now I've ordered the car, I find myself counting down the days to likely delivery..... I've even installed a free countdown timer on my laptop - 68 days, 13 hours, 13 mins to go! So on the basis of your car arriving the beginning of may, that must be only about 38 days - you lucky so and so:P :P

38 loooooooooonnnnnnggggggggg days :(
