Anyone else ordered a Skoda Icelink cable?

Featured Replies

Ordered one of the Skoda Icelink cables 3 weeks ago. Had to pay for it up front as it was a "special order" item,

Cancel the order and do like I did, and go buy an Alpine CDE-9850 Ri. It has full Ipod control built in via the headunit, leaving you to hide the ipod away, and never having to touch it to control it. At the same time you get improved sound quality too, £160 will get a new unit.

I agree 100% with Reffro, Ice link is overpriced and lacks control. The Alpine unit is fantastic and even improves the sound through the standard speakers.

Well worth saving that little bit longer for!

I fitted teh VW one from VAGparts.com, think it was about £92 delivered, peice of **** to fit. Only downside is that you have to set up playlists on the ipod and buttons 1-5 work the playlists, button 6 plays all on the ipod which can be a long time with the 30gb ones.

The way I look at it is that it gives you have the same as a 6-disc cd changer but the CD's have more on them, if that makes sense.

Edit, read that and it doesn't! It's like having 6 really long CDs that you can swap between and skip through with the forward/back keys on the stereo, and it also charges the ipod.
