Nope is the simple answer, incorrect spring weights for your engine and transmission.

Quite right; I like a dummy went and did it (without fully researching the subject first) and found that the front ride height INCREASED by about 20mm, whilst the back went down 15mm !!!!

The vRS springs are set up for the heavier TDI engine hence the above result.

If you want to change springs, go for eibachs.

If you want to improve the handling etc; go for the JabbaSport Rear anti-roll bar. Cheaper than changing springs and or shock absorbers and far more effective.

Hi there,

Yours will be the Fabia (6Y2) {notchback is the saloon} and for the 1.4 engine you need Pro-Kit part no E7910 140

Hi all, just in case anybody's interested, I have a set of standard vRS springs I'm about to throw away... Obviously as above they're no good for a lower model in the range but I'm sure somebody can make use of them. Free to a good home. (I hope this doesn't get deleted - I'm not selling them, I'm giving them away!) I'm in South Wales.

How much is the Eibach kit for the 1.4 8v?
