What are they doing for the money? Engine oil, oil filter, screenwash, fuel filter, air filter, pollen filter and sump plug? Are they going to remove the wheels (I believe it is not on Skodas official schedule, they can check brake linings without removing the wheels) clean all the brakes and lubricate the slides, scan the control modules and reset the display. Does the independant know that a special PD oil is required?

Do those prices all include VAT?

Thats good, a brake fluid change is scheduled every 2 years and a 10000 mile service is the smallest one.

The environment charge covers disposal of your cars waste, principally the oil and oil filter, the garage has to pay to get these taken away.

The cheapest price is not always the best value, we had a customer decline to have a cam belt done with us as we quoted for all the pulleys and water pump, he had just the belt done, a few months later the belt went because of one of the pulleys and ended up with a £3000 bill for an engine.
