Any IPod users out there??

Featured Replies

I've got a 20gb IPod and thinking about using it with my ICE are there any aux/inputs on the standard H Unit. Also has anyone had problems downloading from PC to IPod?? I Keep getting multiple artists EG..8 Eminem's, one after the other in the artist List.

Apart from that it is TOP CLASS.

If i can give one piece of advice, buy a set of sennheiser PX200 Headphones for about

It depends on the HU as to whether the Ipod will just work like that so I doubt it unless it has a aux input selection.

I have a 60Gb Creative labs Zen jukebox and am well impressed with it for the price I paid (also has an easier/cheaper battery to change than the Ipod) and is a quality piece of kit.

The problem you are having with the artists is with the ID3 tags on the mp3/wma file. When you convert cds with windows media player you can add the artist titles amd track names to the tag and the Ipod will recognise this.

If you change the track name after ripping, you have what has been given to you by the rippping program (usually unknown)

If using Kazaa you will get what the original ripper put in the ID3 tag.

This is the problem I have had and It has taken ages to change it all, (1200 tracks so far and no where near finished (I have space for 30000))

Yeah- I've an iPod but as I'm a Mac user I can't comment too much on the PC issues. My brother had difficulty using the software that came with the Pod for Windoze although since downloading iTunes for the PC things are fine. I haven't had any issues with multiple artist/song listings that haven't been down to inconsistent spelling.

As for aux inputs - the best gadget I've bought for the Pod is the iTrip; an FM transmitter (the second best being the in-car charger).

Hi Bonsac,

I have a 30gb iPod installed in the car h/u via aux- in connector, don't reckon the sound quality of the itrip be be that great. The iPod is a great tool for the car and I use it every time I am in the car.

Cheers

Hugh
