Fabia Not starting correctly

Featured Replies

I'v posted about this before thinking it may be to do with the immobilisor, but not i dont have a clue what the problem is.

I start the car up and all seems fine for a few second but then it just seems to stall itself, it happened once a while ago but not its happened twice in the past few days.

Its worrying me that one day it may not start up.

does anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

I have a 1.4mpi 8v W reg fabia.

thanks for any help

any ideas people? pleaaase :P

Check the temp sensor, or even better, hook it up to VAG-COM, if you do a search you'll find a multitude of things that could cause this. Throttle body is another that rings a bell.

Does it run ok when warmed up? could be your throttle body needs re-alligning/cleaning. Also have a look about for any split air pipes.

iv already had the temperature done, and yes the car runs perfectly when running.

The throttle body sounds like a good explanation, i will ask the dealer if sounds like a reasonable explantion.

Thanks for the advice ^^
