As the title says :P what is this 2 bucket method i see people talking about?

also i heard from someone that washing the car in the sun is not as good as washing it in the shade, what do you think is best?

Its when you have your normal bucket of wash and water

and a second bucket of plain water to rinse the washmitt/sponge

to clean the dirt off it before you put it back in the soapy water

keeps the soapy water nice and grit free

its just to prevent scratches and swirl marks

Washing in the shade stops water marks and takes longer to dry i suppose

but i think its also somthing to do with the water magnifying onto the paint

Bucket 1 - Warm soapy water

Bucket 2 - To go over your head

Then you cant see the bits you missed etc and decide to go to the pub early.

Never wash a car in the sun for obvious reasons. Streaking etc. Do top down for best results:thumbup:
