Tyre bulge and cracked front fog

Featured Replies

Took the vrs in for a replacemnet engine speed sensor under warranty. Picked it up later to be told that there was a bulge in the tyre and a cracked front fog lens suggesting, according to the service department, an impact from a pot-hole or similar. Does this sound right. I am cynical enought to think that it may have been caused when they road-tested the car after fitting the sensor. What do others think? Anyone had a similar issue?

Any dirt in the crack on the fog light?, or condensation in it? if there is it suggests that it has been done for sometime. What has a garage got to gain by not owning up to an accident?, they have far more to lose.

Tyre bulge is delamination of the layers, and air getting into the gap. IIRC, these are usually due to manufacturing defects, but guess a heafty pothole could do this too, though you'd have known you sit it. Get it replaced, if not already done. It'll be a blow aout time bomb!
