Hi, I have bought a cable from a third party, downloaded vag com 409. I have perforomed the test, interface is found and I click save. Then when i try to scan anything I keep getting a message No response from controller. :confused: Can anyone shine any light on this ?

I received my cable today.

Installed 409.1 and it says...

Port found but interface not found.

It's just a cr@py cable off eBay, I give up. :(

Are you trying to find a controller that you don't have?

Try 01 Engine.

Tried most of them and I get the same message. can't understand it. Can't find Serial number now, tells me to test on car first, test on car everything o.k save settings, but keep getting the same message NO response from controller.

Sorry I'm afraid I can't help you there mate. It sounds like you've done everything right so far - except the iffy cable.
