hello all (with baggage)

Featured Replies

hi all nice to be here

i haven't needed much help or advice until now but have had a 1.3 felicia 1999 for nearly 5 years with very few probs... bought her at 33000 miles ....now 106000

my baby stalls a lot and has done for a couple of years....at junctions mostly in the morning, usually fixed by putting clutch in and revving for a couple of hundred metres while setting off but i still have to be careful to really stick my foot on the clutch when making any sharp turn from 5th to second gear -----60mph to 10/20mph

I got her onto a computer thingie and the idle speed/potentiometer is apparently to blame

temporary fix.....couple of cable ties to hold accelerator cable so she runs fast when idling

i would love to hear of any kind of solution to this or any kind of advice

she had a new clutch 10000 miles ago still the very same ...air filter makes no difference....higher grade(ultima)petrol kinda helps but not much:)

thanks all

dara

Hello and Welcome to Briskoda :)

If you type Felicia Idle Speed into the search bit it throws up several threads.

This one looks similar to your problem.

Disclaimer: I'm not mechanically minded so probably worth looking at a couple of the others :D
