unused 30 yr old vw on ebay

Featured Replies

unbelievable, what a find..

Wow!! I'm looking for a T2 but my budget's a *little* less than that

If the car's in storage, how do gaskets, seals, etc cope? Wouldn't anything made out of rubber, etc start to dry and perish over time?

What a price to go for as well astonishing

Awesome. Thought it might fetch more than that mind.

I read the title and thought 'An unused 30 year old'

What's one of them?

Nice - I still regret getting rid of my splitty.

i bet within a year it's ruined

 nearly

i'd still prefer the GT3 based one that hands out a$$es on a plate at track days.

but thats probably the only standard one i have ever seen.

 used to see dozen's of them when i was a kid. nearly 22 k, im sure the no plate would be worth a few grand. :D i wonder how much the buyer will spend fixing it up.

I don't think you get the plate, as its not even been registered in UK.

You can imagine that going on Pimp my ride!! Stick a couple of LCD's in the back with a waterfull, and trimmed with leopard skin suede, and some 22" Giavanni chrome rims!

it looks newer than my car lol

Makes such a refreshing change to read an eBay ad that is detailed and readable!

Dave.

I think I'd want to change the tyres after 33 years! I wonder if the engine has actually been run from time to time. I can't help but think that quite a lot of work would need to be done to get it back in working order, although it does sound like thats already been done. 33 years is a long time for an engine to stay still for!

What a waste. Vehicles are made to be driven not stored. What pleasure do you get from hiding it away?

How about the fact that it has accumulated value?!
