Fault or Feature?

Featured Replies

Last night I noticed when I tried to adjust the right hand mirror using the electric adjustment it also moved the left mirror by the same amount. The left mirror adjusts on its own and does not affect the right. Is this a fault or a possibly feature used to aid reversing or something?

Unless I am much mistaken, that is a feature. Saves you adjusting both, theoretically.

Feature

It is very annoying, I wish I could turn it off!

If you have Maxi-dot, then I believe you can turn it off. It's under the convenience features in the menu.

Failing that, VAG-COM can do it.

Bagpuss.

I think I also read somewhere that when you put the selector in the right position it dips the mirror whilst reversing……..this doesn’t seem to happen on mine……am I missing something?

Thats only if you have memory seat I believe.

Is it in the owners handbook? Sometimes these things can be quite a useful read. It might answer a lot of the questions that get posted on here. IMHO
