Had the wheels off yesterday for cleaning & noticed some pitting on the back of the rims but worse than that saw this round the valve :eek:

is this normal on a car 30months old 9000miles & well looked after any one else noticed similar ?

In all honesty, I can't see what the problem is?

I would say thats about right for VAG wheels. Mine's 3 years old and there is corrosion under the paint in a few places, even though they've been very well looked after
