Vag-Com ? for 2007 Passat

Featured Replies

I know its not a Skoda, but this seems to be the best place I can find to ask (some flaky VW sites out there).

Can the seatbelt warning system be switched off, or at least just the gong? and if so is there someone in NE Fife that can do so for some beer tokens or similar?

P.S. can they also switch over to unlock all doors with one press of the remote.

Gratefully in advance

1. I think you can just disconnect the wiring under the seat, little panel on the floor next to the outside runner.

2. I would think so, or your local dealer can do it.

Maybe just too concerned with the Airbag warning light trickery on this model, comes on if you power up ignition with stereo removed (trust me I know  ), so I was in no hurry to unplug seat belt warning wires (little brown plug with only 2 wires at front of seat).

and eeeeeep dealers charge real money :D

Dashboard coding does include seat belt warning iirc.

Sadly im not that familiar with VAG COM and coding of latter VAG cars, only the dealer diagnostic equipment.

Seatbelt - Login to the instrument cluster - 17 and coding.

The x will be a number depending on options fitted - 7 if you have Brake Pad Warning, Seatbelt Warning and Low Washer Fluid Warning.

Make a note of the original coding, subtract 2 from it so probably 5 and then hit Do It.

Selective Locking can be disabled in Adaption Channel 3 I think. There will be a ballon bubble there to guide you. 0 is OFF and 1 is ON.

God has spoken.

You'll need someone with a CANBUS capable cable too.

Thanks for that.

Just gotta find someone who knows how to do all that now, and with the right gear.

Very impressed with the speedy response, all sorted in the time it took to drink my coffee :D
